“Drama fil-Komunità”
With funds from Deloitte PFI has recently published: “Drama fil-Komunità” The Launch of this book took place at the hall of the St Aloysius College sixth form. The work is a collection of plays composed and performed by various groups of adolescents who attended drama sessions over the past six years facilitated by drama therapist Ms Diana Bajada Cauchi. These plays helped these adolescents reflect on issues which concern them such as peer pressure, prejudices, accepting people who are different, self – confidence, listening to others, dialogue; respect… A new play “Kikka tè man-nanniet” not included in the book, was performed during the launch. This play is the fruit of a dialogue which a group of adolescents have had with a group of elderly persons from Zejtun Home and included actors of different generations. The hall was packed and quite a number of copies of the book were sold.
TAMAra – A widows’ group
Established in April 2014, the TAMAra Group supports widows in the Żejtun community who are coping with loss, grief and challenges associated with loss of a spouse, by offering emotional support, guidance, and empowerment. Through discussions, interactive sessions, and professional input, it provides a welcoming, safe space where these women can share experiences, build connections, and navigate bereavement together.
Craft’s group
This project aims to bring together women from the community who are interested in making handmade items. Participants learn practical craft skills, create decorative products, and share ideas, techniques, and experiences with one another. The project encourages creativity, learning, and friendship in a welcoming and supportive environment. It also helps build confidence, improve well-being, and strengthen community connections. Since October 2025, the group has introduced a new initiative where proceeds from its activities are used in fundraising activities to support people in need.
