New course in Ignatian Spirituality and Spiritual Accompaniment

TAGAs a Christian you might be looking for something more, something that will deepen your faith and which will help you grow in your spiritual life. You might also feel called to share your faith with others and accompany them on their spiritual journey.
A four-year course in Ignatian Spirituality and Spiritual Accompaniment is being offered by the Centre for Ignatian Spirituality.
It is aimed at those who:
• have a desire to deepen their relationship with God;
• are ready to be accompanied spiritually;
• will commit to submit assignments and be assessed by other methods;
• can commit to participate in spiritual events, such as retreats, that form part of the course.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to:
• possess a good knowledge of the English language;
• be capable of writing assignments in English;
• be able to use a computer in order to access material digitally and make online submissions;
• attend at least 80% of lectures of each module;
• attend an initial 5-day silent retreat in full.
When and Where
Lectures will be held at: Mount St. Joseph Retreat House, Mosta on Thursdays between 18:30 and 20:30.
As per programme, some modules will be held over a weekend.
Course Details for the First Two Years
Duration: two years (6 terms)

Start Date: 11/09/2024
End Date : 14/06/2026
Fee: €235 per term*
* fees include all costs of the two residential retreats that form part of the course. These residential retreats are compulsory.
Certification
This course has two exit certificate options:
A certificate of attendance – for those who do not submit assignments.
A certificate of achievement – for those who pass all module assessments.
Priority will be given to those participants who opt for an assessed method.

After you apply you will be contacted to attend an interview. Acceptance to the course is dependent on the outcome of the interview.
Successfully completing the first two years of this course will be considered as one of the requirements needed to continue on to the next two years, which will focus on Spiritual Accompaniment and Retreat-giving.
