In order to respond to the challenges of our time and to the unmistakable summons of the Church and of the Society, we Maltese Jesuits, while realizing our call to a more intimate union with Our Lord, want to dedicate ourselves to the mission of evangelizing Maltese society.

We desire to offer this service 

• in communion with the Church in Malta
• in a spirit of dialogue with the different sectors of society
• in a true partnership between ourselves and with others, especially with our lay collaborators
• with special care for the poor and the emarginated
• based on a serious reflection (a learned ministry) which helps us understand interiorly the reality of present-day society.

 All this is to be offered according to the options which the Society itself has made and is still making and in a spirit of continuous discernment of the will of God for us. At the same time we keep alive our missionary commitment and the spirit of international collaboration to which the universal mission of the Society calls us.
