Youths helping out with a Summer Camp in Bari 2007
Formation through service is a characteristic of inYgo which invites young people to express their talents and share their love with the poor.  The Paolo Freire Institute runs a programme for children throughout the year in Zejtun animated by young people coming from all over the island.  The Summer groups reach out to other lands to give a helping hand in different situations.  In Summer 2007 groups went to Ethiopia, Egypt and Bari helping the Sisters of Charity with the poor; Lourdes and the Cottolengo hospital in Turin where groups where particularly involved helping out with the sick and disabled: and finally a group made an experience with other youths from all over the world in Taize.
