The Jesuits in Malta live in eight communities in the following towns and villages: Birkikrara, Floriana, Mosta, Msida, Naxxar, Valletta, Zejtun and Victoria, Gozo.

Those abroad are found in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, India, England, Italy, Kenya, Lebanon, Sudan and the United States.

The following is a brief description of the individual communities and a list of those living abroad.

JESUITS MEET IN ROME TO ELECT NEW SUPERIOR GENERAL

All eyes are turned to Rome following the formal opening last Monday, 7^th January, of the 35^th General Congregation of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) since the death of its founder, St Ignatius Loyola, in 1556. Fr Paul Pace, SJ is the representative of the Maltese Province for the proceedings in the General Congregation in Rome.
