The JRS in Malta seeks to accompany, serve and defend the rights of asylum seekers and forcibly displaced persons who arrive in Malta. 

Each arrival's story bears witness to traumatised, disrupted pasts but also to a remarkable will to survive against all the odds.

 JRS in collaboration with Red Cross and UNHCR will be organising an EU Asylum Directives seminar on the 7th, 8th and 10 October 2008 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta.

2/06/08 - Try to Understand
At the conclusion of its UNHCR funded project on sexual and gender-based violence among migrants, JRS (Malta) has published Try to Understand,  a booklet that presents what was learned from our dialogue, our work and our observations, and from what the immigrants generously shared with us, in the hope that this will translate into policies that protect their dignity and human rights.
